One of Canada's foremost experimental filmmakers Deco Dawson will be demonstrating various experimental techniques with Bolex cameras and 16mm film.

The workshop will deal with in-camera effects using the 16mm Bolex camera.

The class will included experimental techniques for the camera but will also particularly focus on the role of the director/filmmaker as a one man machine.

Types of projects, advantages / disadvantages, changes in the format (equipment, film stocks), discuss a revolutionary new post grain reduction system he recently used on a feature film, show some clips of his work, and leave it open to the audience to ask questions along the way.
