CineVic is pleased to be working with Movie Monday on Co-Presenting this workshop opportunity with Director and Actor Charles Martin Smith. This workshop will include exercises that will be of benefit to both intermediate/advanced level actors and filmmakers in developing their creative and communicative skills.
The short film is not a shorter feature. It has it’s own set of rules and dynamics. Like other film formats, short filmmaking demands excellence in direction, performance, cinematography, editing, and all the other cinematic crafts. These crafts all aid to interpret one thing. The script. A bad script = a bad film.
If you have a short script you’re having trouble with, want to learn some rewrite/polish tips, or have never written a short script before but are willing to put one together and workshop it in an intensive all day class – then read on!
$30 for CineVic & MediaNet members, $40 for Non-Members
Sunday, February 21 from 1PM to 4ish and Monday, February 22 from 6 PM to 9ish.
Join former CineVic Equipment Coordinator Mark Borowski as he talks about merging the visual element to a traditional story. He will examine the different courses action you have to create a visually dynamic companion to ‘the story’. The class will break apart a short story to devise a visual component.
After the breakdown, the class will create a short video using Borowski’s award-winning cut out animation style.
