On Thursday, March 29, join CineVic: Society of Independent Filmmakers at Frankie’s Modern Diner to find out our 2018 Short Circuit film line-up and CINESPARK Top 5 finalists!
CineVic’s 6th annual Short Circuit: Pacific Rim festival has received a record number of submissions from around the Pacific region, and we can’t wait to share them all with you! With submissions from Korea, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Papua New Guinea, USA, and British Columbia, this event will be the first of many times that you will be hearing the names of these up and coming independent filmmakers.
We will also be announcing the Top 5 finalists of CineVic’s 2018 CINESPARK film production program! Through our annual CINESPARK program, CineVic provides more than $10,000 in cash and in-kind equipment rentals and services to the production of an outstanding short film script by a writer/filmmaker from Vancouver Island or the Gulf Islands. The Top 5 will pitch their projects at Short Circuit in May, and one winner will receive the production package! Learn more about Short Circuit + CINESPARK at shortcircuitfilmfestival.com.
